Central and Eastern Europe Security Forum

On June 16–17, 2025, Warsaw will become the center of a strategic debate on the future of security in the region. The Central and Eastern Europe Security Forum will take place at the Main Campus of the University of Warsaw, bringing together over 500 experts from Europe and the U.S.
—representatives of governments, international organizations, academia, and the private sector.

Key Topics and Program

Over the course of two days, nearly 50 discussion panels, plenary sessions, and special talks will be held, focusing on three thematic tracks:

  • War and Society – analyzing the impact of conflicts on social and civil security;
  • New Technologies and Supply Chains – innovations in cybersecurity, logistics, and defense;
  • Geopolitics and Economy – challenges to regional stability in the context of global changes.

Participants will discuss military, energy, economic, and cyber security, as well as building societal resilience in a rapidly changing world.

Partners and Organizers

The Forum is organized by the Institute of Eastern Studies (the organizer of the Economic Forum in Karpacz) in cooperation with the Ministry of National Defense and the University of Warsaw. The involvement of the Ministry of National Defense gives the event special prominence and directly links its program to the priorities of Poland’s national security strategy. Close cooperation with the University of Warsaw, the country’s largest university, ensures the highest substantive level of the event and brings an academic perspective to the analysis of security challenges.

The Strategic Partner of the event is PZU S.A., while the Main Media Partner is Rzeczpospolita. The Institutional Partners include: the University of Warsaw, LEAD. School of Experiences, and Employers of Poland. Special Accompanying Events of the Central and Eastern Europe Security Forum – Author Meetings and Special Talks

As part of the author meetings, presentations of exceptional books will take place. Prof. Roberto González from San José State University will present his groundbreaking work War Virtually, analyzing war in the context of modern technologies. Wolfgang Münchau, founder
of Eurointelligence, will present his book Kaput: The End of the German Economic Miracle.

Dr. Grzegorz Lewicki from the War Studies University will discuss his work The Geopolitics
of Technology: How Artificial Intelligence and the Big Tech Sector Shape Civilizational Security

Prof. Łukasz Gacek from Jagiellonian University will introduce participants to the topic of China’s strategy by presenting his work A Brave New World…? China’s Strategic Narratives and the Reform of Global Governance. Luca Steinmann, an Italian war correspondent, will share experiences from the frontlines described in his book Vite al Fronte: Donbass, Lebanon, Syria, Nagorno-Karabakh. Zbigniew Parafianowicz from Dziennik Gazeta Prawna will present his book Poland at War.

The special talks will feature leading experts and decision-makers, including Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz (Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense), Leszek Miller (former Prime Minister of Poland), Gen. Vincenzo Camporini (former Chief of Staff of the Italian Army), and Michael Fallon (former UK Secretary of State for Defense).

Honorary Patronage

The Central and Eastern Europe Security Forum will be held under the honorary patronage of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. The event has also been granted honorary patronage by Deputy Marshal of the Sejm Piotr Zgorzelski.
