“We thank you in advance and pray that our Lord Jesus Christ have mercy upon us and always protect you from evil by keeping you all safe and sound to continue your divine mission of ACN” – writes Bishop Magar Ashkarian, shepherd of the Orthodox Armenian Church in Syria to the Polish section of Aid to the Church in Need. The organization receives letters of thanks for the help provided by Poles.

“I greet You with Christian love and gratitude, after all that our people and all the Syrian went through and suffered because of the continual war, this last disaster that came upon us and the consequences that the earthquake left is really hard and unbearable for each and everyone of us” – we can read in a letter from bishop Ashkarian. “After extending my appreciation for every aid that your foundation gave to us, I would like to thank you for the $15000 budget that will be used for providing medicine for more than 1000 persons” – His Excellency writes.

“We thank you in advance and pray that our Lord Jesus Christ have mercy upon us and always protect you from evil by keeping you all safe and sound to continue your divine mission of ACN” – he adds. And he is not the only one.

Another letter, on behalf of priest Hugo Alaniza was sent by priest Jose Enrique Gonzalez.

“I would like to inform you that we are so grateful for the various aid that ACN offer to our Church. We thank God for this blessing. In view of the current tragic circumstances caused by the earthquake in Syria, particularly the city of Aleppo, which was classified as a devastated city” – we can read in the letter. The priest reports that “the victims of the devastating earthquake were in large numbers, including those who survived with wounded bodies and torn lives, and those whi didn’t survive”. “With your help, we will try to cover as many of these needs as possible, to help about 450 families” – fr. Gonzalez writes.
